F.H.A Home Loan expert needed please? or Underwriter Serious answers only please?

I’m in the underwriting process of buying my first home. I had to let a family member write me a gift check for the down payment which requires no repayment. My lender called me yesterday and because my cousin wrote in the memo line “personal loan” they do not want to accept the check because it requires a payment bank, the lender said to have her write a letter saying that it was a gift and that just to ignore the memo line. Will the underwriter accept this. this is the only thing stopping me from closing help please serious answers only please

If it walks like a duck and walks like a duck then it a duck. You and your cousin know this is not a gift and its a loan. This is call Mtg fraud and is a federal crime and the LO, underwriter and lender know its not a loan. NO BODY writes personal loan on a check when it not. Everyone involved with this scam of Mtg fraud can go to prison. Once the paper and funds are sent across state lines then it also becomes wire fraud. I am dead serious about this.
